Up until now, the only toenail removal treatments have been limited and ineffective. Over-the-counter topical creams and ointments aren’t very effective because they can’t penetrate the toenail properly to eliminate fungus. Painless Procedure

Laser treatment can be performed as soon as your physician determines you have toenail fungus. A typical treatment for all ten toes (or fingers) takes 15-20 minutes. Although it is a painless procedure, you may feel slight discomfort associated with the heat during the treatment. The amount of treatments you will need depends on your toenail fungus condition but most patients require 2-4. You will see results after the nail grows out in about 4-12 months.

No significant side effects have been reported but patients may feel heat and slight discomfort at the time of the treatment. If mild redness occurs briefly after the treatment, it should subside within 24 hours. There is no discomfort after the procedure, allowing you to return to your normal routine immediately after treatment. It is recommended that you wash socks and footwear thoroughly after the procedure to prevent the spread of fungus.
