Hot flash 

The purpose of this study was to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for women experiencing moderate to severe hot flashes associated with menopause.

Urinary Tract Infection Trial 

The purpose of this trial was to identify a new regimen for treatment of bladder infections.

Amniocentesis

 The purpose of this trial study was to determine if a non-invasive blood test could detect Down syndrome of the fetus.

  • Subject is female
  • Subject is pregnant
  • Subject is 18 years of age or older

Sure Path

 The purpose of this trial study is to determine a more precise way to test all components of a pap smear.

  • Women aged 35 years and younger.
  • Women at increased risk for cervical cancer or have precursor lesions.
  • Have had a previous high-risk HPV positive result in the last 3 years.
  • Have had an abnormal (ASC-US or higher) Pap in the last 3 years.

Uterine Fibroids

 The purpose of this trial study was to test new technology equipment used for removing uterine fibroids.

  • Subject is a healthy female between 18 and 55 years of age.
  • Subject is a pre-menopausal or peri-menopausal female, either nulliparous or parous.

The Essure procedure is a non-incisional alternative to surgical tubal ligation, the leading form of birth control worldwide. While tubal ligation involves abdominal incisions, general anesthesia, four to five days of recovery time, and the risks associated with surgery.

BV/Vaginitis: The purpose of this trial study was to test the effectiveness of new medicinal treatment for vaginitis.

 

Anemia: The purpose of this trial study was to monitor the effectiveness of iron IV in treating patients with low hemoglobin

 

Genital Warts: This trial study was to test how well different topical creams worked in treating genital warts.

 

HPV: The purpose of this trial study is to find new technology used for earlier diagnosis of HPV.

 

Contraceptive Patches: The purpose of this trial study was to test the effectiveness of the birth control patch as well as to identify adverse reactions associated with the patch.

 

Hysteroscopic Sterilization: The purpose of this trial study was to test effectiveness and adverse reactions to a new form of birth control, through sterilization

 

Hysteroscopic Myomectomy: The purpose of this trial study was to test the technology used to remove excess muscle tissue from the uterus.

 

Endometrial Ablation: The purpose of this trial study was to test the effectiveness and adverse reactions to the ablation procedure used to burn uterus lining to cease excessive bleeding.

 

Complicated Urinary Tract Infection: The purpose of this trial was to assess the safety and efficacy of new IV medication in patients with Complicated Urinary tract Infection or Acute Pyelonephritis.

 

Permanent Sterilization: The purpose of this trial was to assess the efficacy of Transvaginal Ultrasound to confirm device placement in women

 

HTA Ablation: The purpose of this trial was to access the technical performance of the  Genesys HTA device for the treatment of menorrhagia in women.

 

BV/Vaginitis: The purpose of this trial was to assess the safety and efficacy of new medication to prevent the recurrence of Bacterial Vaginosis.

 

Adiana hysteroscopic sterilization: this trial was to provide additional efficacy and safety data regarding the FDA-approved Adiana permanent contraception system in women desiring sterilization.
